LIFE UPDATE as of May 20th, 2026
What I lost in those 7 years due to drug addiction, God restored to me twice over.
I went from having no friends for years, and then in the span of a year, The Lord built me a huge community of brothers and sisters in Christ, restored and healed friendships I lost during addiction, as well as brought me an intimate group of prayer warriors to walk alongside and do life with.
I went from years of singleness and isolation (besides aimlessly swiping through dating apps but being never meeting up due to the severity of my addiction), to finding my now-husband within the same year God saved and restored me.
As of today, May 20, 2026, I am free of all addictions; I am a volunteer and servant at my Church and in my community and married to my best friend (married on Feb. 28, 2026). We are going on our honeymoon in 2 weeks, and by the grace and goodness of God, we are closing on a new house in 3 weeks!!
The Lord has been so good and kind and His blessings have put me in a place of utter awe and humility. I don’t deserve any of this and yet He continues to show up, provide and bless me and my marriage, my family and friends in ways I never thought I would see or deserve. I thought my life would be nothing more than waking up, taking drugs and hiding my addiction from the world around me by isolating myself.
Repenting and trusting in Jesus Christ was and IS the best decision I will ever make. Even if He never blesses me again, I will continue to shout His name from the rooftops, praising Him all the days of my life. All that I have and all that I am is because of the MERCIFUL, steadfast abounding love of Jesus.
What God did for and through me from January 8th, 2024 to 2025:
Gave me the focus and guidance to create dozens of paintings inspired by the Holy Spirit and the divine word of God.
Brought me to Vizion Church where I began very quickly making friends through the gentle nudging of the Holy Spirit and sharing my testimony.
Gave me the courage and wisdom to share the gospel with dozens upon dozens of strangers out in public - sharing my testimony and inviting them to church.
Rekindled and restored friendships with life-long friends who I selfishly neglected while in the grips of addiction - friends who welcomed me back and embraced me despite the years lost between us.
Redeemed me just in time for my life-long best friend Lexi’s wedding - an incredibly beautiful and memorable weekend
Introduced me to bible studies and small groups at my church where my community and friendships grew even more
Encouraged me to get baptized!! (side note - I was baptized the same day as my best friend and sister in Christ - Becky)
Lit a burning flame of faith throughout my family, who were already believers, but after seeing my salvation and transformation they were filled with the Holy Spirit even more. I got to witness both my father and then my brother get baptized a few months later.
Encouraged me to begin volunteering - where I joined the church volunteer team as a live broadcast host :)
Helped me to read the whole Bible from start to finish in just over a year.
Introduced me to a very handsome and slightly shy volunteer at Church, who humbly served on the audio team every week, sometimes twice a week. We began dating, and I fell deeply head-over-heels in love with him. (Spoiler alert, we’re married now!)
What God did for and through me from 2025 to 2026:
Presented me with the opportunity to share my testimony with the congregation after being invited by my Church for their New Years Testimonials
Gave me opportunities to love and proudly serve my brothers and sisters in the homeless community by sitting with them, praying for them, and telling them about Jesus
Allowed me to celebrate friends and family in our life through the attendance of 7 back-to-back weddings alongside my now husband, Drew
Blessed us with the most incredible family trip out to Utah for a week of hiking and admiring God’s Creation with my family and Drew by my side :)
Encouraged me to create prints of my painting of Jesus walking on the water ("Blind Faith Through the Storm”) and sold some through my online shop, as well as giving many away to strangers I’d encounter in public.
Allowed me to join the CG volunteer team at Church, where I’d help out with running the lyrics every Tuesday at Prayer nights.
Helped Drew and I to build a community of friends through the joy of Tuesday prayer nights and going to get pizza at Benny Ferrovia’s after. (literally every single Tuesday)
Lead Drew and I to create a photography/videography business and took photos and video for friends and acquaintances throughout our church community
Blessed us with witnessing both my big sister as well as Drew’s little brother get married - two incredible weddings we will never forget
Allowed Drew and I to get engaged in the exact place we met - our church :)
Used Drew to inspire me to start going to the gym again, something I hadn’t done in over a decade. I quickly fell back in love with working out, building muscle, and taking care of my body and my health!
Answered prayers and witnessed healings and blessings for tons of friends and family all around me, celebrating the joy of God’s hand in their lives.
Answered the pleading prayers of Drew and I as Drew came dangerously close to unemployment - but the Lord swooped in at the last minute with an incredible job offer that was far better than we even prayed for.
Began attending a weekly couple’s bible study lead by Drew’s best friend and his amazing wife, who God recently blessed with a baby girl.
What God has done for and through me in 2026 so far:
Blessed Drew and I with the most spirit-filled, beautiful wedding we will never, ever, ever forget. On February 28th, the Lord cleared the skies after a week of predicted rain. Instead it was beautiful, bright, sunny and warm. He blessed us with dolphins swimming along the shore of the beach and all of our loved ones experiencing the presence of the Holy Spirit and celebrating God’s mercy in our lives.
Deepened and strengthened the bond between my sister and I beyond what it was before, and allowed me to see His loving hand over her and her families lives.
Brought Drew and I to see the house that we fell in love with, and knew would be our future home where we would start our family. After a lot of prayer and back-and-forth with the sellers, our offer was accepted and we have been beyond blessed by the Lord to officially close on that home in 3 weeks!! Grateful is truly an understatement!
